Zora seems to be beginning to differentiate between mama and dada, although it isn’t shortened yet to that, just a longer babble version.  After waiting for Zane to talk for so long, it is beyond strange to us to hear such a little person seeming to be doing it.  It is like her brain woke up within the last week and she babbles in a conversational way, back and forth.  Very disconcerting and cute.

She is also ’sharing’ food with us.  She keeps trying to feed us a bite, then taking a bite herself, then feeding us a bite.  It is quite odd.

She is a very social little being too.  She is so happy to be out and about.  Tonight we went to the mall to get some shoes for the kids for our portraits tomorrow.  The mall was crowded (icy and cold outside, so people went there instead of other places to be out of the weather) and I ended up following Zach, who was holding Zora, and could tell she must have been smiling at passers-by because people would turn to look at her and immediately start grinning.  Every once in a while I would catch a comment about how sweet she looked.  It was fun.

Your dad’s first comment was, “Thats just like her mother used to do!”

I know what you mean! My youngest will be one this Thursday and she is telling us when she wants to eat, when she wants water, and she said “cheese” a couple days ago. I’m so used to prompting Dom to talk, that when she does it I am just baffled at how effortless it is.
