Dr. appointment today.  All went well.  Sort of a boring appointment, but that is much preferred to anxiety filled exciting appointment, so I will take it.  I did the Gestational Diabetes test today.  BTW, if you have a choice, the Fruit Punch is about a million times less disgusting than the orange stuff.  I hope it comes out alright…I have had blood sugar issues in the past so this test is an important one for me.

My weight is finally going up, which is good.  They were starting to get concerned.  I think I am still a pound short of my 5 week appointment, but at least I am not losing any more.  It is helping that the rate of losing my lunch is decreasing.  I wish it would go away entirely, but at least it isn’t an every single day thing any more.  I also finally gained an appetite the last week or two, so that is sort of new.  I still don’t eat a lot, but certainly more than I was.

I got to go to Dr. B today, my long-time dr., because his partner (who is doing the OB stuff now) got married and was on his honeymoon.  It was really nice to see him again.  I always walk away from appointments with him feeling like I understand what is going on completely, usually learning something new, and pretty much always feeling a little better about life.  He is a rare soul.  Couldn’t talk him into a ‘quick peek’ to see whether to buy pink or blue though.  I think it is driving Zach a lot more nuts than me though.

Thanks for the warning on orange vs. fruit punch. I have only heard about lemon stuff though? Oh well, I guess maybe different hospitals/drs different things. I don’t think I will get that test done yet (we are only 26 weeks) but thanks for the advice for when I do :) You haven’t gotten to find out yet? :( So sorry. I am kind of confused about the weight thing. Were you losing, or just not gaining? If you don’t want to tell me, that’s alright, but I haven’t really gained that much either, so it might be comforting to know. :) I hope that it starts going the way it’s supposed to, though, and that you get to know soon what you are having. (I think Matt somehow knew we were having a girl before the u/s, he and his mom both were really about the girl) Hope you have a good day!

    God bless you and yours,

    Beth

I was losing.  I lost around 5-10lbs.  I am quite overweight to start with though, so it wasn’t a huge issue.  With Zane, I lost about 15lbs before I started gaining back and ended up within 2 lbs of my conception weight on the day he was born.  However, I was about 20lbs heavier with him.
