No job yet, some pictures

posted in Uncategorized |

No job.  My folks are helping us out with money to get some groceries, so that is good.  As much as the money issues really suck for us right now, I am so glad we have our problems and not my brother and his wife’s problems though.  Money comes and goes, health is a much more serious thing.  The last I heard, Steve and Joy had arrived in the Phoenix area.  His employer has him stopping by a customer’s place to evaluate some equiptment problems they are having, which means that the gas and a few nights of the hotel are being paid by his company.  (although there was a problem, it was his employer trying to help take care of them as much as he could…great company to work for)  She starts her round of testing on Monday.

Not much more to add without getting all rambly, so here are some shots from the week.

They are a-growin’ !

Pointing out the plane overhead.  I was trying to get a photo of him to use on the communication board at school, but the plane foiled my plans.  I will try again later.  lol.  I forgot how hard it is to get a good shot of him looking at the camera.

edited to add:  I have my voice back!  I don’t sound quite like myself yet, but at least I don’t sound like a bad cell phone connection anymore.  That is nice.  By Monday, I hope to have my normal voice back so I can make the phone calls I need to.

I can relate on the money woes, and I agree about how it could be worse. I’m sorry about your brother and his wife’s problems.

As for K’nex, yes they are wonderful! I bet Zane would just love building with them. There are a lot of neat things in the instruction manual that they can build. Has Zane ever taken an IQ test or anything like that? Tristan did a few months ago through the school, so they could determine if he was “Learning Disabled”, in order to best assess his needs. Anyway, his score in “Matrix Reasoning” (yeah, I asked them to explain that one to me and then I Googled it — it’s about spatial relations and stuff, lol) topped most adults, according to the diagnostician! So, apparently, things like K’nex and other “engineering” type toys seem to appeal to Tristan’s strengths. Anyway, my point was, if Zane scored high in that area it just seems fitting that he’d be drawn to them, too.

And I’m still half-asleep, so egads I hope this makes sense and I don’t sound like a total dolt.
