Interesting tool (that I haven’t used) for knitting.  I found it from a knitting board that talked about a place that generated a stitch chart for knitting (or cross stitch/crochet/ embroidery, ect)  When I went to the site I knew I had to post it because it is a knitting as activism site.  Interesting.  Microrevolt

Stitchy McYarnpants

This blog is a riot.  I am adding it to my list on my page because I haven’t laughed this hard in a while.  You must scroll down and see the “museum of kitchy stitches archives” too.  The most recent entry is about dying a live roving (roving is the pre-yarn stuff…you spin it into yarn)

Allergies are kicking my butt this week.  (at least I keep telling myself it is allergies)  It’s been an ok week despite me dragging around, but I sure hope I get some energy soon.  I need to clean in a big way and feel so uninspired.

Zach has been doing a lot of work on that collaboration.  He found out that the PhD in charge of the study tried to crash his program…on purpose…she was testing the system to make sure the data could hold it’s integrity.  It took her 45 minutes to do it, and then couldn’t reproduce it.  They were impressed.  Zach hadn’t even really done all of the testing/security/checking stuff yet, so it should be a lot tighter when he finishes that.  At this point he was working on just getting it set up and making sure it handled the data correctly, the fact that it is hard to crash is testament to his programming ability.  Oh, and she never did get it to actually crash, just got it to spew some garbage.  The whole team keeps commenting on how impressed they are…they have had a lot of collaborations with CS people and this is the best experience they have had.    I am really proud of him!
