#93 Zane’s Favorites. When asked what his favorite color was, he immediately said “Orange”. Then the Speech Therapist asked him how to spell orange, and after a momment, he changed his mind to “Red”. His immediate response to “favorite season” was “Spring”, until asked to spell it, when he decided he liked fall better. I think I can safely say his favorite subject is not spelling. (It also makes me wonder if “dog” is really his favorite animal, or he just didn’t want to spell anything else)

#82 Camera as Notepad. This book was recommended to me, and I didn’t have any paper, so I snapped a photo.

Zora spends two of the four days of Zane’s ST watching from an observation hallway (the other place has a nice playroom).
When she is tired of watching, she plays with the backpack of toys we bring along. Her favorite toy is the Mustang from her Uncle Steve.

New semester, new speech therapy student clinician. So far, I like her. She seems to have a good energy. Zane was happy to be back.
When we got home, we went and looked at the snow shadow and he pulled off all of icicles hanging on the back of the car.

#14 “School Prep 1: decisions” I gave Zane the prompt words and let him choose what color “matched” it and I needed to take a picture so that I knew which color went with each word in case my stack got messed up. (Zach just wanted me to avoid a “rainbow” look since I plan on making him a bracelet to wear in the same colors so that he can have the visual clue for describing things) BTW, the curriculum this originates from is “Visualizing and Verbalizing”

In Speech Therapy this week he decorated cookies. He specified that he wanted the tree for himself, the reindeer for Zora, the bell for Daddy, and the snowman for me.
We had snow, but it warmed up enough that they could go stomp around in the melting snow the next day. (wouldn’t be able to do that now, way too cold)
Saturday was the last week of the semester at Exploration Place. It was a Christmas Party and the kids all added some decorations to a big gingerbread house that would be on display, made sparkly Christmas Tree crafts, Rang bells, and the story was the Nativity Story.

The last few weeks, when we go from the room to the carousel, Zora has been holding hands with the other little kids. It is really cute to see the little lines of kids holding hands.
Much anticipated carousel rides
