Tonight Zane started knocking on the door.

After several attempts to get him to stop (made no sense to us) I asked him why he kept doing it.  Who does he want to answer?

A mumbled reply.

I asked again.

He thought I wanted a sentance instead of just a word, so he added on “I want…Grmbmbmbmb”  Took me a second, then it dawned on me…”Grandma & Grandpa?”

“YES!”.

Grandma and Grandpa are at their house.  They aren’t coming today.  They are coming on Thanksgiving Day in two days.

he starts to cry a bit…”I want Grandmapa”

“They can’t come here now, but do you want to call them?”

“YES!”

So, here is Zane, after his first request to call Grandma and Grandpa.  Enjoy.  : )

Aw!  Grandmapa must have been thrilled!  Your kids are so cute!

Sorry Zora’s keeping you up at night.  Been there, done that.  I think Boo was almost 2 before I started really feeling like I was meeting the bare minimum of sleep at night for normal functioning.  Hopefully Zora won’t take that long.

This Gramma is absolutely enthralled by her grand kids. The pictures are even better than my imaginations eye. What a charmer Zane is.

Zora is such a miniature person. She’s so petite and so full of life. It’s such a switch to carry her, compared to how Zane felt. Her smile just melts me. She does have a strong will, but I expected that. She picked the right parents to help her deal with that in a positive way. They are good partners!

Thank you for sharing these pix.

  • I doubt that we can ever successfully impose values or attitudes or behaviors on our children – certainly not by threat, guilt, or punishment. But I do believe they can be induced through relationships where parents and children are growing together. Such relationships are, I believe, build on trust, example, talk, and caring. — Fred Rogers
