PSA

I have found the most perfect pie in all the world.  It defines ‘unhealthy’, but then again, we are talking about PIE.  It is better after being totally unthawed.  YUM!

I got one in lieu of a birthday cake.  I *had* to get another one just to be sure it was as good as I thought it was.  It was better.  After confirming my findings, I got a third one this week and determined I must. stop. getting. this. pie.  Totally addicting.

Zora is 6lbs 13oz.  WooHoo!  It wasn’t just my imagination, she is outgrowing her preemie clothes!  Time to dig out the newborn sizes now.

My appointment went well.  I seem to be healing just fine and am cleared to resume ‘normal activities’, including working out.  I am supposed to start gradually and not overdo.  He recommended building up length rather than intensity so that I get the endorphin rush that hits at around 30-35 minutes, which will help with my moods.  Once I get to 45 minutes or so, then start working for more intensity.  The first 30 min or so just burns sugar and doesn’t do much for weight loss, and in my case, getting the mood boost and then weight loss has a higher priority right now than intense aerobic activity.

He does NOT want me pregnant for at least the next 9 months.  He said that former IF patients are the ones most likely to get pregnant before their bodies can handle it because the don’t take birth control seriously. lol.  I am going to try a progesterone only pill so it won’t interfere with breastfeeding.  We discussed several other options, but this seems like it will be the best for me right now.    Progesterone is also likely to even out my moods, and that combined with exercise has a good shot at combating the mild ppd, so we are going to see how this path works before introducing anti-depressants into the mix.  I am happy with that…and I agree.  I am able to combat most of my depression at this point and adding the ability to get up and move around more is likely all that I need.  I am not so far in the hole that I can’t see a way out (BTDT), just really having to work to keep from sliding down, IYKWIM.

I think I am going to take a cue from Zora and go take a nap.  Her gas kept me up all night last night and I am tired!

All is fine here.  I have my 6 week postpartum appt. tomorrow.  Not sure how that is going to go since I am still bleeding and don’t feel fabulous.  I feel a LOT better than when I was pregnant, but that isn’t saying much.  I hope I am cleared to work out because I am barely hanging on some days and I know that working out would help.

Wish  I would have thought of this a little sooner.

Who needs preemie diapers when you have washclothes.    (these are even smaller than average washclothes)
