Beginning to hate the slinkies

I spent several hours, over the last two days, trying to untangle two slinkies. 15 minutes later, I see this. Now it is two slinky’s + a table leg. ACK!

“Soccer”

So, the kids don’t completely “get” soccer. Both of them like kicking the ball around, especially with Daddy, however, Zora is especially unclear on the rules. She picks up the ball and runs away with it sometimes, and other times she has it confused with dodgeball. She asks Dad to play with her, he kicks it to her and she runs away giggling like crazy to the other side of the yard and waits for Daddy to go to the ball and kick it at her again, and then runs away giggling again. It is a hoot.

And one random cute photo of Zora footprints in chalk (it has been rainy, and when the chalk gets wet she makes the most of it.)

Randomness

The kids wanted Dad to help them make paper planes. They started with normal, simple planes, played for a long time, but by the end of it the kids had lost interest and Zach was making things like this:

Terrible picture, but I loved watching them. Zora has on a swim cap for no reason that we could tell. lol.

Zora’s fascination with Dragonflys lead to Zach finding some to photograph. I just love this shot.

Box Seats

#175: Box Seats. I am not sure what the story line was, but the king and queen were in the seats with the other people, watching a knight and a penguin salt shaker have a conversation.

#167 Summertime

And more…

Zane started out filling his own bucket of water, but when Zora heard the excitement and came out, he helped her fill up her bucket.

Not long after, we heard the neighbors going outside to their little pool, and Zora and the neighbor boy, H, heard each other, which naturally led to them wanting to play together, so she donned her suit and happily joined him, leaving Zane to his happy, content self in the backyard.

When did he get such long legs?

Confirmation that he has grown. A lot.

Zora still hanging out with neighbor boy H. She ended up eating Sloppy Joes at his house before coming back home. She has so much fun with him.

Cookie Road

Sometimes those “on a whim” purchases end up being the most used toys. These suckers are used daily by Zora, and now she has found yet another use for them. “Cookie Road”.

She often drags us downstairs to play “pretend cookies” (as opposed to making real cookies), where she pretends to bake them, then serve them with coffee or chocolate milk. She also plays the games that come with them. They are amazingly durable and pretty realistic looking. They have also served the primary purpose, of teaching her shapes while we are playing.

Rocketship Repairs

#147 Rocketship Repairs.  Zora brought her tools upstairs (in the little basket) and proceeded to repair her “rocketship”.   She was quite thorough.
